this year is absolutely flying by.
i always feel like i'm trying to just catchup catchup! deadlines duedates projects tests and here we are, end of november. &for some reason i forgot december was after november.
the perfect metaphor for how this year has been for me would be missing the bus. just a minute late, but the doors are closing and it's pulling away. you know that chasing after it and yelling will pretty much be futile, but you run anyways.
i feel really sad when i see people miss the bus. before i could drive, i told myself that everytime i saw someone miss the bus, i'd stop and speed like crazy to overtake the bus and drop them off at the next bus stop.
some problems with this plan:
1) stopping on the street to pick up someone when you are, infact, not a bus, is difficult.
2) people generally dont trust strangers in sketchy green minivans.
3) speeding is not safe and i bet the person would rather wait 30mins for the next bus than die in an accident.
4) my mama told me not to talk to strangers.
hmm.

i liked this post a lot and i completely agree with you 100% about how time is flying by like crazy. can you believe that UC and USC is due in a matter of 2 weeks??? sigh

I think your posts would definitely work well in magazines. they are entertaining and fun to read
