i like squirrels.

and much like the adorably fluffy rodents that i adore, i realized that i have a strange tendency to store random crap (for lack of better word) around my room. it makes for a cluttered room but it's also quite fun to go through my things and smile at the memories.

my parents recently went on a cleaning spree in my room while i was at school and, as usual, put all the things that's value was questionable on my bed. for the most part they're good about not throwing away the seemingly mundane cards or little trinkets that i have hidden around the room. i also have these two drawer-like baskets that i used to just toss any and every thing into, which rarely get touched by my parents, so tonight i sat down and dug through them to see if i could find anything of use.

mostly there were a bunch of pens, pencils, highlighters, coins, books, and the likes. there was the occasional treasure (which i set aside to share with you all) but for the most part it was all junk, haha. i also found some euros from poland/ slovakia/ ireland, some korean money, some shillings from uganda, old notes my friends and i wrote each other, the numerous notebooks that i made into journals, and for some reason, a lot of ribbon...

anyway, to the treasures!

the "treasure drawerbaskets"

my huuuuge fluffy PINK, bear CD case that i thought was really cool. complete with nsync's byebyebye cd and britney spears' first album LOL. among other CDs...

a LOT of cute stationary and asian pens/ pencils. basically where all my newyears money went when i was in grade school. but i wouldnt use a lot of the things i bought because i thought they were too cute and i didnt want to "waste" them hahaha

the TWO driving tests i took, since i failed one. i noticed that i missed the same question twice.. HAHA and one of the questions i missed was "when a traffic signal light isn't working at an intersection, you should:" i put "slow down or stop, only if necessary" HAHAHA....

a little cup full of chuckecheese and mulligan's tokens! i am thinking of going soon to use these bad boys.. hehe

my assembly "medallion" that i got at our ball. i didn't pay much attention to it but i realized it had my initials and birthday engraved on the back! pretty cool..

of the many many different kinds of jewelry i found, some were VERY tacky... but these are the few that i thought were actually wearable. i dont even know where i got most of them haha.

a bunch of pictures, many of which i had hidden in a little gift card tin, haha. i think i have pics all the way from kindergarten to senior year! so many old& new memories:)

a baggy full of birthday cards from my.. 11th or 12th birthday HAHA. man, it was crazy reading some of those. crazy how much things have changed with some people and how little things have changed with others..

HARIGAMI!! hahahahah omg i remember how badly i had wanted them.. and then my aunt got them for me and i went crazy trying to do all the intense hairstyles in my book but i could only do like 2 or 3 of the most basic ones :(

a memopad that i obsessively journaled in when i was in.. third grade??? i also have some entries from sixth grade. my goodness, i was an annoying child. i literally documented entire days in that teeny tiny notepad..

a REALLY heavy and full piggybank thing from claires that i distinctly remember getting at michellepaik's birthday in... 3rd grade? the text says "place a penny in the slot, close your eyes& wish a lot, happiness will find its way, into your heart day after day!" HAHA gag.. but apparently i wished a LOT cus that thing probably holds $10 in pennies..

AND LASTLY,

misc. stuffed animals and knick knacks that i found interesting. the little orange thing is an elephant made from amber that i got in poland! im sad the picture is blurry but.. it'll do.

WHEW, that actually took a lot longer than i expected haha. but there we have it. all the treasureful junk of my room! pros: moments like this where i go through everything and find fun stuff! cons: i lose things way too easily in this mess. sometimes, it's cool to just look through everything and open little boxes and baggys to find things that i had thought i had lost forever, or find money! hahah. but maybe i do need to organize myself better now.. idk how much more clutter my drawerbaskets can stand!
